Minutes of the Shadwell Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group
Held on Monday, 24th March 2014 at Shadwell Library
PRESENT: Debbie Potter (Chair), Ian Halmshaw, Jeremy Thompson, Denise Trickett, Nick Manton, Helen Jordon, Peter Baker
APOLOGIES: George Crowther, Alice Pratt, Jamie Williams
Item 1 - Open meeting and agree minutes
The meeting was opened and apologies accepted for absence, the minutes from 27 February 2014 were agreed.
Item 2 - Peter Baker’s Schedule
A discussion took place on works carried out on Peter Baker’s Schedule:
Helen Jordan had already circulated her work on Transport, amendments and additions were made and she agreed to make the necessary changes for review at the May meeting. It was agreed that all the other categories would be written in draft form and circulated to all members before the next meeting so that a full discussion can take place and amendments and additions made. The categories are:-
- Heritage J.T
- Housing J.T and N.M
- Infrastructure I.H
- Environment G.C & H.J
- Community & Facilities D.P & D.T
- General Introduction A.P & A.M
Item 3 - Website
It was agreed that for the time being this should be changed. to read something like " progress at the moment is slow as Leeds City council prepares The Core Strategy. In the meantime The steering Committee continues to quietly beaver away on behalf of the village” I.H agreed to email S.G to ask him to make the changes.
Membership of Group D.P agreed to circulate old members
Item 4 - Annual Parish Meeting
George confirmed via email that he \was able to attend and would give a presentation to the Meeting.
Item 5 - AOB
Helen Jordon volunteered the services of her Son to help with Photographing the village if required.
A new rule comes into force in April giving permitted development rights for Farmers with regards to the Farm buildings.
A general discussion took place with regards to the speed bumps and speed limit in Shadwell it was suggested that a 20mph limit should be looked at.
